Have you ever brought your bag to Coach to be repaired?

If something goes wrong with your bag, they will send it to to be fixed...

Well, my beautiful leather bag that is only a year old has the corners ripping & the handle has a big dent in it, like whatever is in it, broke, and so my handles that are supposed to be curved, are like on an angle

I brought it to a store today to have the ship it out and the manger was SUCH a witch

She said she knows they will not do anything forit, and its normal wear and tear...

I said, on a basg that is 1 year old that I only have used maybe 4 months out of the year? She got real snotty with me like she was rejecting it.

I said, well I called coach customer service and he told me to bring it here to be shipped out and they would evaluate it. She got real quiet then and filled out the form for me.

UUUGH!!! I am just so aggravated. She said, well if they cannto fix it, they will give you some kind of credit and keep the bag.

Any idea what kind of credit they give? Is it for the full value of the bag, or do they look up to see how much you spent on it?

Either way, I told her that I wanted this bag bag even if it cannot be fixed, or to have customer service call me and let me know it cannot be fixed & then I will make my decision.

i brought in a bag for some minor repair- some stiching had come loose.
they charged me $20.

sorry they're giving u such a hard time!

I have brought a wallet back 2 times for stiching coming out and they gave me a brand new wallet, and I have brought bags back as well and they gave me a brand new one. Which one did you go too? I never have a problem in the WW store.

I took a back bag with a clasp top, like an old fashioned purse back to the store. The clasp wasn't clicking into place to close all of the way. BTW, I went to the Woodbury location which is small, but WAY nicer than the mall stores!

They sent it to Coach, they said it could not be fixed and they offered me coach credit for the full amount that I spent.

Good luck! If you have a bag that cost a lot for 1 year that should not happen!

I am going to bring mine back too - the stiching is coming out around the handle and the leather like dry rotted away. I bought it 2 years ago and used it a lot but still I don't think that should have happened.

Which Coach store did you bring it in to?

I brought it to a Coach store in Massachusetts. (I live in Rhode Island)

I am nervous, I also have a pair of coach boots where the turn buckle thing came totally off.

I guess I will wait till I am in Ny to bring them to the store to send out

I had to have my summer bag fixed. It has a few reinstones on it and the bracet of one broke so the stone came out. They were great (roosevelt field mall).

They took the bag and sent it out and said that if it cannot be fixed they will contact me.

Sure enough they did and offered the value of it (which was more than I paid for it, since I got it on sale in Macy's).

Or could have the bag back.

Or could have the same bag new, if they had it in stock.

I loved the bag, so went with the same bag, but a new one. they mailed it to my house.

I brought a bag to them and they sent it out to be repaired and it was okay BUT I had a horrendous time trying to send back a wallet I had given my brother as a gift. Supposedly their small leather goods have a much shorter lifespan and they don't guarantee them like they do their bags. I corresponded with them about 6 times and finally they sent me a snotty condescending letter with the original wallet saying that they couldn't do anything for and they were glad that my wallet gave me much enjoyment....if I enjoyed it so much I wouldn't be sending it back to them


After this experience I made a personal decision to boycott Coach and when my mom wanted to buy me a new handbag for Christmas last year, I found a Dooney and Bourke one I liked, instead of Coach.
