Have you ever gone to a concert solo? Would you?

Red Hot Chili Peppers is DH favorite group. He has seen them before and swears they are the best to see in concert. So here I am at Christmas time, RHCP are coming to NC in January. My baby will be less then a month old, and I don't have any relatives around me...so me going to the concert with him is out.

Would you purchase a solo ticket? DH asked the guys at work if they wanted to go, of course they were interested, but no one has gotten the money together.

I have never gone to a concert alone, but if it was a group that I was a "die hard" fan of, I don't think I would have a problem going by myself!

Is your DH an "independent" type of guy who likes doing things by himself?

I have gone and been left by myself in the middle of it-- I would really do anythign alone-- broadway show, etc. and I always go to the movies alone...

Read your post wrong-- if your DH would go alone-- got for it. If the concert is general admission then it's more of a no brainer- cause one of his buddies can buy a ticket at any time. As a gift-- I would purchase two tix though if it's not GA.

eta-- I stayed and went with my friend and her boyfriend-- and I didn't want to leave yet-- so I stayed and just hung out with people I met there..

I'd buy him two tix and tell him to take a friend or co-worker. DH wouldn't go alone, and I really wouldn't go alone.

I used to go all the time. Especially to places like Hammerstein & the Beacon

I have not and probably wouldn't, but my BIL has. He loves heavy metal and my sister HATES it. so sometimes he goes solo. he doesn't seem to mind. I think it's different for guys.

I have been to a gig alone once, I had tickets with a friend and they cancelled, so I just went on my own. It was fine, I will talk to anyone, so I probably just talked to whomever was unlucky enough to be standing next to me!

I've gone to shows alone. If I'm a die hard fan I'm going.
