Have you ever heard of a Hospital doing this????
I was on the Long Island Jewish Hospital Website checking to see if the updated their Classes and I noticed that had a Nursery Section you can Pick a date of a baby delivery date and click on the mothers name and all the Details on the baby and even a Picture is LIsted .. I mean I dont know if I would want my babys info on the computer like that i wonder if i can request for them not to post it on the internet..??

My hospital has that too, it's called Web Nursery. I noticed it doesn't show the family/baby's last name. Just the photo, baby's first name, parent's first names, birth date, time, weight, length.

I noticed that too when I had my son. I delivered in Southside and my info. was never up there. I don't remember them asking me either.

A couple of my friends have delivered at hospitals that had this, but they were well aware of it b/c they sent out an email to all family and friends with the link to check out pics of their LO's.

Yeh thats called Web Nursery. Im pretty sure they inform you when they take the baby's pictures, and give you the option not to participate. I cant see them doing that without permission.

I would think that you would have to sign a permission form for something like that??!!! Just guessing though.
My hospital doesn't have anything like that.

i personally think it's nice....i have family in Cali...they'd love seeing this info! my hospital doesn't have it (that i know of).....but i'd be okay with it.

It's called web nursery. We did it with my DD. You have the choice of having the baby's pic taken and posted first off. Then you have access to it online to put in as much or as little information as possible. Also you have the option of making it private so only family can see it with a password you provided.
