Have you ever heard of someone rinsing out their mop in their toilet?

Someone I know puts bleach in their toilet and rinses out their floor mop like this. I would never do it, bleach doesn't kill everything in that toilet.

What do you think about this? Or is this something alot of people do????

Supposedly the water in a toilet is cleaner than the ice machines in fast food places, that being said no I don't know anyone who does that. It sounds kinda icky to me. Gross.

That's right! To answer the OP, I heard of it just a few weeks ago for the very first time.

I will state for the record that I am the creator of the toilet bowl post several weeks ago. I will re-post it for anyone who missed it. And no...up until my husband attempting to wash my floors from the water in the toilet, I had never heard of it either.....

I have heard toilet bowl water is cleaner than ice machines, etc. But still, not I would not rinse a mop in a toilet. I used to dump the dirty floor water in the toilet when I had an apartment (now I have a utility sink and use that), but the mop always got rinsed in the sink.

Ewww.... the sink? You mean the bacteria receptacle where bad milk is dumped, crumbs from plates are dropped, other food particles reside and grow all sorts of stuff?......

That's so weird about the other post. I didn't see it, and can't believe I posted the same topic!

Yeah, I know, nasty huh?Chat Icon

Sinks are pretty gross when you think about it--I wash mine every day, but once a day only.
