we have one - its great - DH said he wanted it to use the laptop in teh LR, but its so he can eat in front of the TV
WE bought it in the Carolinas or Georgia and had it shipped - we love it

I have one. It looks like an regular coffee table. We really don't use it open like that at all, but we liked the way the table looked so we got it anyway. I don't know why people would be worried about childrens fingers. You don't keep it open and it stays cloed unless you pull it up to open it

You have one? I wouldn't have even realized that!!! 
*With kids and having a table like that, they're going to want to open it and close it often, especially once they know that it does that.  So i can see how fingers could get caught in it.

Told ya it looks like a regular table
It's actually kinda heavy to open. I don't know that a child would even be able to open it, especially when there is books and stuff on it!! My niece hasn't figured it out yet luckily

We have one and love that it is so convenient. My two year old daughter doesn't even try to pull it up. It is to heavy. The only problem is, I am not a huge fan of how it looks. We've had the table from our apartment days. I am so use to having it in our living room for our computer and of course eating, that I don't know if I could go back to a regular coffee table. It's nice with children too because it has rounded edges. So, basically I have mixed feelings about my coffee table. Story of my life!

My brother has one. It looks really cool! They eat in front of the TV ALL the time cause of the table though.

same here....And its not ugly actually. Its a wood table and you would never know that it has that option to lift up like that.
