Have you ever slapped a kid's hand away from your baby?

Twice I have had to stop myself. A little girl in chuch was twisting the hell out of his toe and the mother stood there. I told the girl to stop and went to grab her hand...she let go.

This week my little cousin grabbed Josh's check and pinched him hard, luckily my hands were full and I screamed...

but I come really close to getting physical. I am guessing I would be in the wrong, but instict takes over.

I don't know about slapping, but I don't see anything wrong with physically remvoing someone else's grubby hands off your baby.

I have removed another childs hand from my daughter. I don't think thats inappropriate at all. I don't discipline or slap the hand of the other child, just intervene to stop my child from being hurt.

But you would put your hand on them? I guess I mean slap them away, not really a "no" slap...just something to fling them off.

I have a 22 month old. At this age, kids fight, grab, pinch, push, squeeze, you name it, so on many occasion, I find myself "removing" another child's death grip on my daughter I would never "slap" their hand away, though. I would expect the same of other parents if Alex were the grabber, pincher, smacker, etc. I would find nothing in appropriate in removing her hands from the other child.
