Have you ever sold on amazon.com
I'm considering selling some school books on amazon but have never done it before. Do they charge you a fee to list items? Is there any way to find out how much an item sold for in the past (as you can on ebay)

i've sold books on amazon before. they dont charge you a fee to list items like ebay. they take a cut out of only whatever you sell.
to see what similar things go for, just do a search on the title and you'll see what comes up.

I got rid of so much stuff through them! In some ways it's easier than Ebay because the payment is automatic- no waiting around for someone to pay through paypal. They also credit your the shipping amount.
Stock up on padded enveloped and be ready to go to the post office as you usually ship media mail.
I even sold some underdrad and ALL of my grad school books and broke even

Re: Have you ever sold on amazon.com
I found it much easier to sell on amazon than ebay. I usually just searched by ISBN to find out pricing.
I sold college textbooks along with some other books I had lying around the house. You would be surprised what people buy.

Re: Have you ever sold on amazon.com
Thanks for posting this - I have a few textbooks here I won't be needing in a couple of weeks. The college bookstore will buy back the $300 worth of books for $12 Based on current listings, I can get closer to $150-200 from amazon.

Re: Have you ever sold on amazon.com
Also, your items are not charged a fee UNTIL they sell, therefore, if they don't sell, you are out nothing!! And they list things for 45 days!

Re: Have you ever sold on amazon.com
This sounds like a good idea. While I know you can check the price people are asking for certain books, is there anyone to see if the books actually sold at that price?

Does anyone know what percentage they take after you sell the item?
