Have you guys heard the latest developments on the Octuplet Mother??
Not to start drama or anything, but I cannot believe how this story is unfolding.
This woman has 6 kids already, all aged b/t 2 and 6 or 7, with one set of twins. And, she had IVF to get pregnant with the octuplets. She is 35 years old, and the fertility clinic that she went to implanted 8 embryos. Which apparently for a woman that age, the standard is TWO. She is also single and declared bankruptcy a year and a half ago-- obviously, before she was pregnant.
Who was bankrolling her fertility treatments? Who is going to help her take care of her FOURTEEN children? WHAT doctor did not do an evaluation or thought that 8 fertilized embryos was the right course of action for this woman.
I am so perplexed by this. Makes no sense.

I kinda wonder if her plan was too have so many children so she would get $$$ and free things from people..I know it sounds bad but why else would you do this..and what dr would ever agree to this?

I really hate to judge people I do not know, but I am also urked by this story. How is this fair to all the children? Are they all going to get the attention and care they deserve?

Wow, I thought it went against ethical guidelines for a doctor to implant that many embryos. I didn't think they would do that.
I really hate to judge, but I seriously question why any doctor would agree to that.

I agree that everyone is entitled to make the best decision for their own lives, but this just seems insane to me.
I can't imagine how a story like this makes you feel

She supposedly went to Mexico for the treatments and then sought prenatal care in the US at 3 months, and from what I heard she is 33.

Its amazing the kind of doctors that are out there.. some feel its a science experiment for them. Lets try this and see what happens kinda attitude.. its sick. Those are the type of doctors that shouldnt be in the medical field, they have no worry about the person health.
Im sorry to say but will all the fame the john and kate plus 8, and the duggers family... this makes people see $$$ and think that this is a way they can make some cash too.. not saying this is what this lady did.. since I dont know her.. but makes me wonder.

ETA: Why would purposely have more children when you just had to file bankruptcy?! You already have 6 children who needs you!

I didn't know she implanted 8 embryos. I know she thought she was only having 7 and gave birth to 8 b/c one was behind another. I am 35 but went through IVF at 34 and my doctor said the most he would put back was 2!!
I thought this lady wanted to be kept confidential b/c she didn't want the publicity.

They are currently investigating the doctor. I thought it was strange in the beginning how she was always "unidentified" in the news.
I'm not sure what he intension was/is. It should be interesting to see what come out in this case.
I hate to say this but I find it hard to believe that this was all done for her absolute LOVE of being pregnant and children.

It was in the paper this morning that she has 3 sets of twins already and they all live with the grandparents, who filed for bankruptcy last year.
