we're not TTC yet, but I think when the time comes DH will be right next to me when I am taking the test!
but I have thought about creative ways to tell my mom, because she is even more excited than I am!

I go back and forth with that....wanting him to be there and then wanting to REALLY surprise him to get his reaction... because he will be beyond elated.........

i did too....
but now i am more wanting the surprise factor..
and although we are TTC..,,
it does kinda take a little of the "surprise away"
i still want to do something special for him...

I think DH will know my cycle all too well and will more than likely ask before I have the chance to spring it on him in the form of a surprise. He is also the type to be very calm and reserved. I think I would be disappointed if I tried a big surrpise and he didnt react by jumping up and down. I know he will be thrilled but he will be very cool and collected.

When DH and I were talking "hypothetically" about getting engaged he insisted that the guy should get to do the asking b/c women get to tell men that they are going to be fathers (which, in his opinion, is a much better surprise). Ever since he said that I have been trying to think of a special way to tell him the news -- when/if ever we conceive. But I'll probably have him right next to me for every test once we start TTC.

I had DH Check the Test, once I knew I was def. PG. He was flipping out... Since we had the MC I have been thinking of how I will do it this time... So If you ladies have good ideas.. I might steal them if thats ok.

I found out I was PG 2 days after Christmas, I tested in the am and DH was still asleep. I woke him up and told him Santa left him a late Christmas gift. To which he replied well where is it? I told him it still needs at least 9 months before you can really unwrap it. He was so happy.

DH knows my cylce so I dont know how I would be able to keep it from him, but if I could get away with it, DH is a HUGE football fan. I would like to wrap a Giants onsie(sp?) with our last name on the back and give it to him.
