You are not a bad mommy.
#3 happened to me yesterday. We were in a friends pool, I was holding DS, lost my footing and I partially went under. I was able to hold him up (don't know how) so he didn't go under. Happened so quickly.

It happens to all of us. Don't worry as long as she wasn't hurt...

You are not a bad mommy. Sometimes things happen. Thank goodness you were there to help her each time. It sounds like she is doing well. And if it makes you feel better, she won't even remember any of it.

Re: Having a bad mom weekend...
I totally know how you feel. The other day DS was crawling on the floor of his room while I was looking for something in his bottom drawer and he somehow fell with his neck just millimeters from the corner of the open drawer! I was shaking and crying for a while, but he was just fine.
We are not bad moms.....things happen sometimes.

Re: Having a bad mom weekend...
Please don't feel bad - I dont see any "negligence" as you put it in any of these situations - you were right there - things happen.. My take is - if we can accidentally hurt ourselves, then we are going to at some point accidentally hurt our kids when they are with us - its a HUGE fear of mine, because obviously no one ever means to hurt their kids. I'm so afraid I'm going to drop him that I dont even breathe when carrying him up and down the stairs - I mean it. Do you know how many times i was wearing loose pj pants and almost tripped on them? Know what I do now? I pull the pants ALL the way up my leg like a dork before I even pick him up!!!
Also, when I bathe him, I have to have everything near me. My heart skips a beat when I have to turn for a second to get his towel and I cant keep my hands on him... its awful knowing how things can happen in a split second. I want to take a cpr class again as soon as possible...

Jodi - not ONE of those things makes you anything near "bad"
Leah fell off the bed last week - I thought I definitely hit the charts of horrible!
