I went to the doctor today,I am 38 weeks, after a failed attempt to do a external version on Wed,to try and turn him from breech, the doctor said i have to do a c-section,It will be on thur 25th or Fri 26th,next week, they'll let me now Monday. This is my 5th pregnancy,I have 4 girls ages 13,15,16,18 years old,This is my one and only Son.I am 41 years old.I did not plan it,but I am glad i'm finally getting my Son.I have never had a c-section before,I am scared,I just want things to go good for me and the baby.I could use some words of encourgement, and some prayers would be great as well..

Re: having a c-section next week
I had a csection and I have to tell you it was amazing. I'm not going to lie - the recovery was def. rough (it took me a full six weeks to feel like my old self - and at times I still have pains by my incision) - but if you take it easy the first couple of weeks and have people to help you out - you will be just fine.
Try not to overdo it. I did - and ended up bleeding uncontrollably and had to be put on bedrest for a few days!
Good luck and FM me if you have any questions.
Oh - and congrats on finally getting your boy!

My advice is to get moving as quickly as you can. When you can get out of bed, walk around. Even though it hurts, I think it helps you recover faster. You will be fine! Good luck!

Re: having a c-section next week
I just had a c-section and it went well. I do agree with the above post to get up and walking!!!! They usually try to get you to start walking around the hospital after 24 hours, so make yourself do it!!!! Good luck!!!!!!

Re: having a c-section next week
It'll be fine...I had an unsked one & I was scared (& disappointed) at first, but it truly went so smooth & I recovered very quickly. Definitely get up & moving ASAP & don't lift anything heavy for a while (including baby's carseat). It'll be fine & at least you know when you'll have DS in your arms. Good luck!

Re: having a c-section next week
I had a schedule c-section and I swear it was the best. So, smooth, no complications. I was walking around painfree once the cathedar was removed.
