Having a "get together" tomorrow...updated at the end
Can you tell me if this is good...
(I am not asking for recipes...)
Broccoli Quiche
Taco Dip
Shrimp Cocktail
Pasta Sald (with sundried tomatoes and artichokes)
Pita Bread and Hummus
Spanikopita(not homemade)
Corn Dogs (DH wants them... uhh)
Quesidillas (not homemade-Dh wants them)
Friend is making Artichoke Dip

I will make for dessert
Caramel Crisp Marshmellows
Coconut Drops
(two friends are bringing other desserts)

What else should I have?
Should I eliminate anything?
Amount of people- about 20(could be a little less...8pm-???)

good idea for the veggies, I completely forgot about that...
ALSO, any ideas for good cocktails besides MArtinis , DH is on martini duty
beer and wine is covered...

We're actually having a cocktail party tommorow and we're having:
Platter with
Cheese
Crackers
Salami
Olives
Spinach artichoke dip
Tortilla chips
Someone is bringing a layer dip as well
Mini quishe
A mixed puff pastry thing from BJs
(has pigs in a blanket, cheese puffs, potatoe puffs that sort of thing)
Chicken finger platter
Sweets
Cookie platter
Cake
We're also just doing beer and wine although we have a lot of hard alcohol too

For drinks, I love apple & watermelon martinis and Cosmos. Also, I made a new dip this weekend (baked clam dip) from the recipe board, it was the hit of the party, delicious! I don't even like clams, but it was so good.
I know there's a meatball recipe that people love on the recipe board too, do a search, I'm sure you'll find it.

Southern Comfort Punch
1 fifth Southern Comfort (1 regular size bottle is what I use)
3 quarts 7-Up®
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate -- 6 ounce
1 can frozen lemonade -- 6 ounce
Mix liquor, orange juice and lemonade in a bowl. Add 7-up just before serving.
I make an ice ring with Greandine to keep it chilled! And add sliced lemons, limes & oranges too!

maybe pepperoni & cheese or veggie plater
Also, I always make baked ziti when I have parties -- it's easy, it goes all long way , and most people like it - just a suggestion
Can't go wrong with wine & beer
but other suggestions...
Watermelon Martinis
Cosmos
Apple Martinis
(Martinis would be too much work for me though LOL)
maybe Sangrai to do something different or a puch?

I know... I asked him if he was serious...and he actually came home from work...went to the store to help me out-get some stuff before I go today and he had them...

I like the idea of a fruit salad, cheese and crackers, maybe even some kind of pre-made antipasta platter.
Can I come? Sounds like some great foods are going to be there. Party of 4, please.

Thanks everyone...
This was the first cocktail party that we hosted where I did everything myself-DH did pick up a few things, but set up, and cooking were all me...and I was so happy with how everything turned out.
We have had parties before but I always had a lot of help and I bought a lot of stick in the oven kind of foods...this time I cooked myself...I am so happy

I make these awesome teriaki little meatballs and they are so easy. I just get a bag of the mini meatballs from Sams and they sell this stuff called
"Mr Yoshida's" marinade in sweet and sour or teriaki.
You just put the meatballs and marinade in crock pot for like 3 hours.. SOOOOOO frekkin good.
