Having a very rough day, and scared . . .
Troy has been a crabby Toddler today. And seriously testing my patience. Add to it that I am feeling worn out and exhausted.
I know it could be WAY worse, but I feel like I am worn out from the holidays and the past week!
I feel like my patience is very thin and I keep feeling myself getting way too close to the edge of screaming.
I have SO much stuff to do around the house (dishes, cleaning, mopping, etc) and I have no energy. Troy is down for a nap now, and i feel guilty about resting!
I'm scared b/c I rarely get like this, and these are the days I am scared to have more kids. And to add to it, I called DH to try and comfort me (yup, he's working- Troy & I are home alone) and he says "Hey, how about when I get home we try for another one" JERK!
I just needed to vent, I feel like I need a Xanax or something.

It is def. the time of year! I was the same way yesterday! Between all of the parties, the cooking, the cleaning, wrapping, and taking care of DS - I was at the edge of a breakdown after his 5th tantrum. Thankfully DH had him the rest of the day and I was able to relax with family!
Try and give DS to DH today or tomorrow and go take a break - you deserve it!

its so hard after any big event. The kids are off schedule and the house is a mess with all the gifts and just mayhem. dont feel bad though. I dont know anyone who has not felt that way. I was like that yesterday i thought i was going to have a breakdown by 3pm. Just stop and take a mental zbreak for a few minuted while the baby is napping. It will be good for both of you!!! lots of

Thanks Diana, good to know we're not the only ones! I can't WAIT for DH to get home from work, but afraid it will be after Troy is in bed.

I agree...this time of year is exhausting! Just try and get through the day until DH gets home and take some well deserved time to yourself. No matter what! You need it! And see if you can go out for dinner or order in. Forget the cooking.

Re: Having a very rough day, and scared . . .
I had a sick/crabby toddler on my hands all week long. It was rough. Me being pregnant, got sick too. DS was @ the dr. on Mon. I was in on tues. Tues at 5PM I emailed DH at work and said "Ok, Daddy...it's time to come home"...Thankfully, he got the hint and was able to come homey by about 6:30. No joke, by 6:35PM, I was OUT the door and in my car heading to Target to actually "start" shopping. (Been a looooonnnnng month for my family with the passing of my gram and my mom).
As soon as your DH gets home tonight, take off! go anywhere...even if its Starbucks for a cup of coffee. I came home about 90 minutes later and felt 85% better.
This is a very very hard time of year!

well if you need to scream, scream in your pillow BTDT and it really does work ( I know it sounds crazy) THe next thing is don't think about the dishes and housework, etc. take a nap while he is napping. wait till dh comes home to do housework.

Re: Having a very rough day, and scared . . .
ask your DH to clean-up some stuff when he comes home.... you're obviously spent and need a break desperately.... this is what DH and I do for each other all of the time... we either take-over DS duties, or clean-up when the other spouse is melting

This is how I am all the time now that I have another child, I was never like this when it was just Julia, I feel guilty a lot also for loosing my patience. Hopefully it gets better!!
