having night time feeding issues - help!!!
so during the day DS is good with napping and eating about every 3 hours but at night he is awful. he wakes up every 1.5-2 hours and after taking a bottle he wont go back to sleep. he stays up for 2-4 hours! he starts screaming when i put him down to sleep. i keep the room dark (just light from the tv), i dont talk to him either. just feed and bed but he wont have it
any advice? i need sleep! he's almost 3 weeks

He is due for a growth spurt. Also, how many oz are you giving him, he may need more. Are you feeding on demand? Could be gas, hunger.

Re: having night time feeding issues - help!!!
I know many people would not like this suggestion, but what about letting him fall asleep on you then moving him to his bed? This is what we do with DD, and while I don't like sleeping with her (bc I am afraid - not bc I don't love it!), it is better than a screaming baby for 4 hours! Good luck!

Re: having night time feeding issues - help!!!
I give him 2oz, lately he's finally been finishing the whole bottle. I do pretty much feed on demand...sometimes he shows signs of hunger earlier than others.
And to the above poster...we have let him fall asleep in the bed. Sometimes transfering him works and other times it doesn't. Usually his 2nd time of waking up around 3 or 4 we keep him in the bed til morning but I don't like that because it makes me nervous having him in there

offer 2.5 - 3 oz before bed and during the night, see if that does anything.

Could it also be the tv that's the problem? Try a small lamp or night light instead of something flashing. Also, keep him awake a little longer after daytime feedings.
