Did I miss this info, but the the doorman that claimed he saw Kathleen arrive, do they think he was paidoff, or perhaps mistaken?

My 1st thought was that he was paid off.

I DID NOT but will be watching tonight! I love this show, though Dh is a little less enthusiastic. He immediately says "guilty".

I finally watched episode 4. I have more questions than answers (will they address the doorman issue, where did the HEAD go, and who was the sources that initiated the new investigation??).

The last scene was very eerie!

Re: HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

I was talking to DH about it last night. I *might've* believed that he didn't kill his wife or his female friend later on. But, when he admitted to cutting this man up in pieces, I realized he is a cold blooded murderer. He is so scary to me.
And when he was sitting in the interview chair "coaching" himself on how to say things, I was floored.
P.S: I could've done without seeing the body parts though.

I don't know if I ever believed he didn't murder his wife and friend. Too many coincidences. But knowing he chopped up Morris' body, totally solidified him being a murderer. Robert is such a storyteller, it's fascinating. Even after his lawyer told him his Mic was on, he quickly thought of a reason.

I'm hooked and totally think he's guilty of all 3 murders. With Susan, I don't think he killed her himself but paid someone to do it. Someone said in one of the episodes, he doesn't kill just to kill but if you threaten his freedom he has no problem killing you. I totally think that's the case.

Do you think it was at all staged? It just seemed so coincidental!

I don't think it was staged. I know what you're saying though. It seems like he'd be smarter than that. But, this psychopath got away with murder three times, and all the evidence is right in front of everyone.

But, seriously, now that he's been arrested again, I hope he pays for what he's done. Or else, I will lose my faith in the justice system.
And I wish he would finally say what he did to Kathie.

Re: HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

I don't have HBO so I couldn't watch it. But I've seen all the news stories about it this morning. It definitely seems like he is responsible for the murders, but I can't see how his statements on the documentary (specifically the ones when he was no longer on camera) will be admissible in court. And even if they are, there are a million excuses he could come up with for why it's not true.

They either have actual evidence or they don't. He may be guilty and everyone may know it, but he's not going to jail based on things he said in the documentary IMO.

I don't know if any of it would be considered admissible in court. But I agree about the stuff when he is in the bathroom. I mean, he's just going to say that he didn't mean that he killed all 3 people, just that he was repeating what the interviewer thought.

The part about him saying he can't distinguish his writing from the killer's writing is a good 'gotcha' though.

Either way, it was a great documentary.

Yep, I agree that the whole bathroom conversation (while chilling), wouldn't be enough to convict him, IF it's admissible.
But, the handwriting is very damning.
