HD/ Blu-ray DVD player
I heard they have a combo HD/Blu ray DVD player out? Does anyone know where or how much, I thought it would be a nice suprise for DH, To celebraate my first superbowl win, $1250 baby.

LG has one at BestBuy, but it's sold out: HD/Blue-ray
CircuitCity has the same one in stock: Circuit City's HD/Blu-Ray
There aren't many dual-format players out there. Pioneer is working on one, and Samsung is too, but I'm not sure when they'll be out (they may be out already, but they may not be)

do you have a television that supports 1080P? If no 1080P, these is no point buying now.
This is a lot of money simply for a HD/BD player. I would wait to the market decides on a format unless you DH is one of those that has to have everything new when its still new

I have friends in the industry and they say that Blu-ray is probably going nowhere. I hate to be a party pooper, but they've all cautioned to wait it out a while longer because the costs are too high, and not much is available for it, and may never be. Just a little info.
