Head falling foward in convertible carseat
I switched Rylan over to the convertible seat a few days ago. I miss the infant seat so much...so much easier...lol. When he falls asleep his head always falls foward. Does anyone have anything that helps this...I feel so bad for him. I went to BRU and asked one of the associates but she said there's nothing you can do about it.

Re: Head falling foward in convertible carseat
I think I remember someone on here saying to recline the carseat...maybe you could try that?

Re: Head falling foward in convertible carseat
We had this problem in the beginning. I put in the head support we used for him in the infant seat...it's like two pillows - one on each side of his head. That helped for bit but I found myseld reaching back to pull his head out from his lap every so often. As he got older he had better control over his head...once we moved his forward facing it was even less of an issue...but it does still happen once in a while. But it's easier to just BIFF him back in place

I was just going to suggest that! Have you tried reclining the seat a little bit? That way when he sleeps he is leaning back rather than being fully upright?

Re: Head falling foward in convertible carseat
We just turned ours around and reclined it. I don't think her head could fall forward if she tried!

It's reclined all of the way...it doesn't go that far back.

Re: Head falling foward in convertible carseat
Is your carseat level? If it's not, and the seat is reclined, the head will slump over. It's it level it shouldn't be an issue.

It doesn't have one of those level things like his infant base had so I don't know if it is.

There is a line on the side of the seat, that should be level with the ground.

Re: Head falling foward in convertible carseat
Whenever this has happened to me, I alway made sure his straps were tightened and that the piece in the middle (the buckle) was centered/up high enough and it worked.

I would take it to one of the car seat inspection stations and have them install it so that is is reclined and level.
