Headhunter question
So if a headhunter placed me somewhere, and I am miserable there, when is it appropriate to ask him for something else?

Re: Headhunter question
Whenever you want.
In my experience headhunters hold very little nostalgia for the companies they place you in.
The only issue he might have is if the contract he has with the company you are at requires you to stay a certain amount of time before he gets paid, but that's pretty rare.

In my book you are good to go then.

Re: Headhunter question
I was a headhunter and as long as you stay the guarantee period and I have been paid by the client, I would have no problem finding something else for you... Sorry you are unhappy

Re: Headhunter question
This happened to me- very recently too. Even worse, the headhunter that placed me was a person I've known for years. In terms of getting me interviews, he was incredible. All it took was one phone call from me. He was 100% reliable. Unfortunately he beefed up a job that even in the very begining, I wasn't 100% sure I wanted. He made it seem like the company was the greatest out there. This is the 1st time I'm actually admitting it, but I kind of feel like he forced me into taking the position.
Well, it ended up that I left after being there only a month. I HATED it. I cried every Sunday night knowing I had to go to that place fpr another long week.. Bottom line - it is YOUR career. You need to do whats best for you. If the job isnt for you- leave. I left and now Im in a job that I LOVE. The company- the people, the commute- EVERYTHING. Things happen for a reason. I truly believe it. And although I had to tell my headhunter that the job he placed me in was horrible, I could care less if he got paid or not. Why should he hget paid for me being miserable????
Be true to yourself. Trust your gut.
