Healthy food gift idea help
Every week at the dept staff meeting one of the senior managers buys the whole gang lunch. Tomorrow one of the senior guys is doing pizza.
One of the staff is celebrating his birthday and is very health conscious.
I was thinking about an edible arrangement but does anyone have any other ideas?
Usually we do cupcakes....but that's a no no in his world.

is this to go WITH the pizza or instead of pizza? like meal, or dessert? if you're talking about a meal, you could get a platter of subway sandwiches or sandwiches from panera. if you're talking about dessert, TCBY offers frozen yogart cakes - they aren't completely healthy but definitely better than an ice cream cake/cupcakes etc. i know i feel less guilty when eating something like that. OR, you could make a dessert to bring - i have a recipe for a very easy cake using fruit, fat free whipped cream and angel food cake. or an edible arrangament is a great idea too, i love getting those

It's more as a gift to share with the group.
personally I think a bottle of scotch but the powers that be are fruit leaning.
I just think we should give him a gift exclusive of this meeting but I'm getting opposition.

we have a weight conscious person in our office so we brought in fruit, veggies like baby carrots and broccoli, hummus, and someone made a diet coke cake (basically just pour a can of diet coke into regular cake mix, it tastes the same!) with fat free whipped cream on top.

I like how you think with regards to the bottle but I think in reality the edible arrangement will be just fine or even a veggie platter as someone else mentioned.
In my old office because we were all getting tired of the cake, cupcake, cookies thing we started doing fruit salad, veggie platters with dip and trail mix.
It really went over well.
