Re: Hearing the Heartbeat at Home

it's the bebe sounds one. i have heard they don't work very well and you can only hear the hb when the baby is big and you are almost about to give birth

You are prob better off renting a doppler. i heard dd's heartbeat at 9 weeks.

Re: Hearing the Heartbeat at Home

I have the BeBe one from Babies r' Us and I dont hear the heartbeat. I am almost 22 wks. I still would listen thinking I could hear the baby moving, than I put it on dh's belly for fun, and heard the same thing Chat Icon so I guess it doesnt work for much.

We rented the babybeat one but only used it once. Had no problems with it - just dont get nervous if you CANT find the heartbeat, it is tricky to do it yourself bc you can also hear a lot of other sounds in there (like the placenta - which freaked me out LOL)

Re: Hearing the Heartbeat at Home

I didn't buy one because I can be stressed enough as it is, and I didn't want to make myself nuts if I couldn't find the heartbeat one day. Just me mentally careful with it, I wouldn't want to see you stressed anymore than necessary.
