Heart of the Matter- Emily Giffin
did anyone else read it? I just finished it and not exactly sure how I felt about the ending....I guess I just thought it would end differently.

I did. I don't think it was her best. I did like seeing all the old characters though.

I agree...wasn't my favorite, but I loved the updates on Rachel and Dex, although I would have like to have found out what Darcy and Ethan are up to, other than taking a ski trip with Dex and Rachel.

I couldn't get past the heartache I had for the kid. And that made me root for Valerie, which is wrong on SO many levels.

See this EXACTLY how I felt throughout the entire book.

Re: Heart of the Matter- Emily Giffin
I borrowed this from a friend last week, I had finished the books I had brought, so I read hers - I hadn't read anything from Emily Giffin before, and I am not really into chick lit, but I thought this was just really predictable and pretty depressing.

I would have LOVED to hear how Darcy and Ethan were doing and kept hoping we would see them.
I enjoyed Dex, but did anyone else find Rachel less fun and such a goody-goody? I liked her growth so much in Something Borrowed and felt she just went back to her old self in this one

I absolutely agree about Rachel. I also liked how they kinda expanded Dex's character. He didn't seem so uptight in this book.

Re: Heart of the Matter- Emily Giffin
I loved the book but was so mad at the ending. This is only my second book of hers. The other one I read was Love the One You're With and I did not care for that one. I have Something Borrowed and am planning on reading it next month.
But back to this book. I loved her style of writing by giving us the story from both women's point of view and we never saw Nick's, which I loved. I think she's going to write a follow up to this at some point. She left it so open for another book to continue either story.

Me too. The confession scene was especially uncomfortable to read.
I did like the book though.
