Heather in Shape
Heather Locklear shows off her incredible figure once again for her fourth Shape magazine cover. Heather is one of Shape’s all-time favourite cover models. Inside, the 45-year-old actress reveals how she has kept her body as healthy and fit as it looked on the first cover in 1984.
Here are details from the Shape/Heather Locklear photo shoot:
What she was wearing when she arrived: Juicy Couture black sweat pants, A&G by Amal Guessous black hoodie, Giussepe Zannotti gold slides, Louis Vuitton leopard print bag, and a white hair turban to hold up her wet hair
Music Heather was listening to: Aerosmith “Cryin” and “Amazing”; She had just been to the Aerosmith concert
Inside the mag, Heather talks about health, love and, most importantly to her, family.
Heather on how she refuses to let difficult times (i.e. her separation with Richie last year) get her down: “This is my second chapter. It’s my chance to focus on Ava, on myself and on what I want to do. The thing I’ve learned in my 40s is that when you look out your window, you have to look past the windowsills. There is life beyond my little home.”
Heather on how she chooses to raise her daughter: “Ava’s a great eater. She only eat things like fruits and vegetable and sushi – no junk food…It’s ironic because I want to set a good example for her with my eating habits, and she’s the one who’s helping me!”
Heather on advice she got from her mother [’Dance on tables!’]: “Neither of us remembers why she said it, but the message was to enjoy life and have fun. And boy, did I have fun! My priorities have changed as I’ve gotten older. I still want to have fun, but now that philosophy translates to good health, good friends, good food, and good roles.”
A look at Heather’s Shapely past: “I look at these covers (1984, 1988, and 1990) now and think, Wow, nice body. I may be of a certain age…I feel more confident about myself now than I did 20 years ago. And I can honestly say I look better today.” No arguments here!
