HELLO!
So after 4 years of hell - having a fibroid, trying with a fibroid, having the fibroid get to size of grapefruit, having fibroid removed, recovering, trying again, losing my hearing overnight and getting incredible vertigo, overcoming this and trying again, IUIs, IVF….
FINALLY I AM PREGNANT!
Seriously this journey actually began when I went off the pill after my wedding in April 2009. We actively started "trying" in March 2010. Now here we are in 2014 and finally!
As of today I am 8wks, 3days and due on April 4. Its still early but I saw the heartbeat for a second time today and now I am starting to feel confident enough to join this board.
Also I need an OB. The women I was seeing I HATE! I personally blame her for my fibroid issues and think she handled it HORRIBLY. Its a long story. Since I last saw her I left all my care 100% in the hands of my RE. So now that I am pregnant I need a new OB, looking for one out of Southside Hospital. Will have to have a c-section because of the fibroid surgery, so any advice would be great.

Congrats. I use Dr Antoniadas (dr a). He is in west islip right near good Sam and I believe he now delivered at south side. He did my c section and I truly believe part of the reason I had an amazing recovery is because of him. He is so amazing and the office staff is so nice.
