Hello.... AF? Where did you go?

Oh man.
This is my first AF in 10 years not being on the pill... I don't know WHAT is going on.

My boobs hurt- so bad that even if my nipples BRUSH on something it hurts (sorry if that is TMI)....

I have some cramping- but nothing Earth shattering.

I really don't know what to think- when I got my AF on the pill- I would just get cramps an hour before .... and bam!!!

I really want her to hurry up already so my ovulation will coincide with hopefully getting great CF tests back..

oye.

Oh- and no, I'm not PG- DH and I have been abstaining to be safe until we have the CF test results back....

Wait...did you actually get AF yet?

and I get bad bad chest pain starting sometimes 10-12 days before AF....I get it most months, but sometimes not at all.

Welcome to the world of nonpillhood. It's not a fun ride. It'll all be worth it once you get preggers though!

I said, my period.

He said, you're nuts.

I said- it took you 2 1/2 years of marriage to figure THAT one out????

First of all, as someone whose AF has gone MIA this month also I can relate to how you feel! Its stinks doesn't it

I will say that it sounds like you might have ovulated reallly late this cycle... since this is your first cycles since coming off the pill, your body might be readjusting and trying to go back to normal. Were your cycles regular before you were on BCPs ? Or is this unusual for you?

WHile frustrating, I wouldn't worry just yet - some ladies do have VERY irregular cycles for a month or two before their body adjusts and tries to go back to normal after being on the Pill

From the sounds of it you are just having EXTREME PMS symptoms and as Donna said, sometimes sore boobs, PMS symptoms can occur as early as 10-14 days BEFORE AF shows up (I know I usually have PMS for 2 full weeks before AF) I also remember when I was on the pill that one of the best fringe benefits was not having ANY PMS , etc

Here's one time when I am WISHING that AF shows up for you, so you can feel better!

I'm not really freaking out about it just yet.

I honestly have NO memory of what AF was like... I know it was REALLY regular- like every 28-30 days- but then it got REALLY irregular- every 60 days (but that was when I was 19... so who knows...

I don't know if I ovulated... I was looking for that cervical mucus that everyone keeps talking about but I really didn't notice everything....

DH must think it's really weird- I practically had my head up "her" the other day to see what was going on..

Your body is out of whack I guess, since you were on the pill for a while....she'll arrive!

Sometimes it takes a month or two (or more) to get back on track when you come off the pill. But the sore bbs made me thing you were PG right away! Plus they say you are more fertile when you first come off the pill so if you did BD and weren't all that careful, you could be! But since you said probablynot, don't worry AF will come!

We did not BD at all
As I said, to make sure we are OK we are abstaining until I get the results of my Cycstic Fibrosis test back....
so although i wanted to BD right away- we wanted to know for sure first.

I totally understand. So the sore bbs are probably just a side effect of coming off the pill. When I came off the pill I got AF SOOO bad the first couple of months. They symptoms were all magnified 100x!! Hopefully she will come soon! Good luck with your tests too, I hope everything is OK.

I got my blood work done yesterday...

There were a gazillion questions to answer- about my ethnicity, etc....

I hope it's OK... so, I should know in 2 weeks or less...

I think your AF, Felicia's AF and my AF all went away somewhere and didn't invite us!!

My first AF off the pill was right on time, but subsequent AFs have been 51 days or longer

The first day of my last period was April 8th!!

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, just your body adjusting.
