Hello all! (pics of Eliza included-FIXED!)
Well- being a 2 under 2 mom has been pretty crazy so far. Madelyn is WAY more jealous than I thought she'd be. She's been having tantrums regularly, says, "NOOooooOOooo (whiny) whenever I am holding Eliza, and has chosen one of Eliza's pacis as her own. Mads has NEVER used a paci, but is now walking around with one in her mouth. DH is not happy, but I figure its a small battle we'll let her win for now.
My induction went well- almost TOO well......
My doc had checked me at 1pm and I was at 5cm. Then at 2 I was feeling some mild pressure- so the nurse checked me and I was still at 5, but the baby was much lower. At 2:30 I looked at DH and said- "I feel like I have to 'GO'". SOOOOO- we called the nurse who checked me and the room exploded! The baby was rightthere- and her heart rate was dropping. They paged my doc and had me do some *practice pushes*. Well- those practice pushes pushed her head right out-  . My doctor actually MISSED her birth by seconds- they actually had to pull some random OB from the hallway!
Apparently she had the cord around her neck and she didn't pink up enough, so she had to go to the NICU where they also found that my poor little one had fractured her collarbone. Apparently the only thing my DH is able to pass onto these children are his linebacker shoulders and food allergies .
All is well thankfully- and she was in the NICU for about 6 hours. She's a champoin breastfeeder- took to it immediately. She is a S L O W eater though and I'm over the porn star boobs, so any recommendations to help with engorgement is appreciated.
I've included some pics of both my lovies. I hope to be on here again eventually- but with DH going back to work soon, and me still trying to figure out how to handle both girls (well- how to handle a jealous toddler anyway) I have a feeling it's going to be awhile.

I did the same thing with Christopher, pushed him out without the doctor there

Aw! Your girls are beautiful! Congrats!!! Love your birth story (not the part about the collar bone broken or NICU but the quick delivery).
It certainly can't be an easy adjustment for your family. I'm sure things will work themselves out though.

congrats on the nursing!
I always had engorgement issues...in the beginning, I always hand expressed out the foremilk..I seemed to have a ton of it. Maybe if she is getting more hindmilk she will fill up quicker?
