Re: Hello, anyone out there !!!!
I'm still hanging out here, not really sure why.
Since my mom is gone and I don't have children, I spent my Mother's Day happily digging in the dirt, cleaning up my garden and planting flowers. DH and I went to the garden center in the morning and then stopped for pizza for lunch. Then I got to digging.
A good friend of mine knows how difficult mother's day is for me and invited me to spend the day at the wineries with her family, but I didn't want to. I know she means well, but it still hurts.
I kind of felt guilty for not going to the cemetery, but my weekends have been so hectic the past few months that I just wanted a day to do something for myself. Saturday's rain changed my plans, so I stayed home and took out my summer clothes, put away my winter stuff.
Ahh, that felt good to type out.

Hello, anyone out there !!!!
Here. Too busy doing childfree stuff - like flying to Chicago and driving to Michigan on a whim to see my favorite band.

Re: Hello, anyone out there !!!!
I'm here! This board gets no action.
Saturday was so rainy and DH and I spent the whole day laying in bed drinking wine and binge watching Netflix. It was fantastic.
Went out for Mother's Day brunch yesterday with DH, my best friend and her DH, and their son (who is also my godson)...when we were leaving, the restaurant gave my friend and I giftcards for Mother's Day. HAHAHA score!
Still no desire to pop out kids, even though people have been telling me for more than a decade that I'll want them someday. Spoiler alert: I won't!

Hugs!!!!! I haven't been to my father's grave in quite a long time either, just can't do it.
Love gardening, so peaceful and refreshing.

I love gardening too, it is so therapeutic for me. Challenging though, because I can't kneel or squat like I used to, darn knee replacements. I just sit on my butt a lot.
DH picked out Gerbera daisies at the garden center and I planted them in a pot with some petunias. Came home last night to stems. The freakin squirrels ate the flowers.
