Re: HELP - the heartburn is unbearable

Its funny ..I was told zantac ahead of tums or rolaids, that zantac was a class B drug and he felt totally safe. I have been taking that when I have bad heartburn and it works...

When I was pg with my son I took pepcid AC tablets they were GREAT.

I hope you feel better soon, heartburn is AWFUL Chat Icon

Eat two apples a day-- one after lunch and the other after dinner. It works miracles for me!

My doctor approved Zantac 150. Thank god for it otherwise, I would be crying all day from my heartburn.

Re: HELP - the heartburn is unbearable

I had heartburn and sever acid reflux smy whole pregnancy. If I dont take pepcid AC twice a day at the exact time I should or eat ANYTHING with red sauce, a little spicy etc., I throw up from the reflux.

It SUUUUUUCKS, but with the pepcid and watching what I eat, it is bearable.

If I still get it, I will have a glass of chocolate milk or drink a vanilla shake to ease the symtoms.

Re: HELP - the heartburn is unbearable

I don't know if this helps, but I have suffered from GERD for years, and I am on Nexium for it. My doctor claims that it is fine for pregnancy, but I still worry so I halfed the dosage.
