help
so last time i was pregnant, I was spotting alot to the point that I had to wear pads for 3 days. It stopped, I got a confirmed pregnancy, and then it started back up heavily about 2 weeks later until I miscarried..
I got a few BFPs in the last 3 consecutive days, but noticed some spotting yesterday and today. It's like a dark brown spotting and it's only when I wipe. Should this worry me, or is this fairly normal? I'm going to get bloodwork done tonight, and was told I can request to see my dr early if I keep spotting, but that I shouldn't really see him until I'm 6 weeks along.
thanks :)

Re: help
Have you gotten your progesterone tested? I would ask to go in and get tested for low progesterone, its an easy fix as they can just put you on progesterone supps.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Good luck to you!

Re: help
If I'm going to be completely honest, I've had 7 pregnancies before this one and only have one child. All 6 miscarriages began with light spotting before I reached 6wks. Sometimes it was pink, sometimes brown (sometimes leaving a stain, sometimes only when I wiped). Either way, any time I've ever seen blood, that's how it ended in MY case. That said, people do bleed for different reasons. I have a friend who is now in her 2nd trimester and baby is doing great who bled in the beginning and it was completely unrelated to pregnancy. (for her it was also that brown - "old" kind of bood that you mentioned). So I wouldn't give up all hope just yet, but I'd also be cautious. I hope you're able to get the bloodwork done and see your Dr soon and that things are good! I agree about the progesterone!!

I'm going for bloodwork tonight, so would they test my progesterone when they take my blood?

They should do a progesterone level check with your b/w. Make sure they get the results STAT so you'll know if you need supplementation.
That being said, I had spotting with both of my pregnancies and now have a and . So spotting doesn't always mean m/c. Hang in there!

Its fairly common to have spotting. Most people and Drs will tell you the brown spotting is old blood. Sometimes they can find a reason some times not... Make sure they test your progesterone tonight.
