Help! 9 lb. pork shoulder??
I accidentally bought a huge pork shoulder from Peapod and have no idea what to do with it! It's called a pork picnic shoulder or something like that. I wanted to do shredded pork for tacos and something else. Can I cut it into like 3 different pieces and freeze some? I have never made one before. I'm clueless. Any help would be great!

I've used pork shoulder to make pulled pork in the crockpot. I'd try to cut it up and freeze a part of it.

I too make pulled pork. I put in the crockpot on low for 8 hours. I put in a jar of saucy susan.
Then I pull apart w/forks, it literally falls off the bone, and I mix it with bbq sauce and make pork sandwiches on a nice roll. Serve w/cole slaw....so yummy

Carnitas! We usually make a 7 lb and have it for a few days.
Basically my DH braises it in a pot with some salsa and some other stuff then bakes it at 250 for like 6 hrs. we serve it on tortillas with homemade guacamole, salsa, mexican crema(you can use sour cream) and hot sauce. MMMMMMM
You can find a recipe online he is not here right now to ask
