Help! Abby keeps eating her poo
I know its so gross! The vet said shes too young to give her any supplements that might make her stop it. I never get there in time to get it all. I mean she poops..and then gulp...EWWWW.
Anyones dog do this?
Its hard cause the last two days she has 100% gone on the papers/pads...no accidents so Im trying to heavily priase her for it, yet cant yell stop it as shes eating it or shes gonna get confused??

Re: Help! Abby keeps eating her poo
Donna - you are too cute!!!! I remember feeling the exact way you must be feeling right now. Molly ate her poo. It was gross gross gross. The vet says there are certain things that you can put in their food to make the poo taste nasty (could you imagine it tasting any worse than it does now?)
We never had to use it. We would yell at her when she did it - so eventually she got the hint and stopped.

My shih tzu used to do this too. It was so gross. The doc said is has to do with cleanliness. He finally outgrew this gross habit.
