HELP, clean my micro fiber couch!

My couch is so bad. It's tan, and the dog has destroyed it. I have tried to spot clean it and I just get water stains.

Has anyone cleaned it with the carpet cleaner. I read online you can but im nervous. Chat Icon

Re: HELP, clean my micro fiber couch!

JT recently read that on the tag of your microfiber couch there should be a code and you can look online to see what cleaner to use on that particular coded couch. Did that make sense? I don't know how true it is, thoughChat Icon

Re: HELP, clean my micro fiber couch!

We have light brown micro fiber couches but we had the scotch-guard done years ago when we got them and it seems to still work b/c spots come right out with water.
I'm not sure what else you could use though Chat Icon I do know however that you should make sure you're using a cotton cloth b/c any other material seems to leave spots or water marks.

Good luck!

I took my microfiber couch apart and took the covers off the actual cushions. I threw them right in the washing machine and dryer on a low setting. They came out great!!

I just took the covers off and put it right in the washing machine. They come out good as new.

I have also soaked them and scrubbed them down with soap and water and left them outside to dry if they are really bad. I have a dog that loves to eat pigs ears on my couchChat Icon

I did have them cleaned by the carpet cleaner and he just used the same machine. They came out nice then too.

Re: HELP, clean my micro fiber couch!

We have a microfiber couch in a light tan color also and the other night I spilled somethng on it and DH insisted that we use scrubbing bubble bathroom cleaner on it.. I didn't want him to.. so the little sneak had two wash clothes.. one with just water and the other had the scrubbing bubbles on it and he used it and it worked great.. and didn't stain the fabric..

I cleaned mine with the carpet cleaner. It came out good.

When it's wet it looked like it was going to dry with a million water stains, I was freaking out!! But it dried nice.

We use the steam cleaner on ours all the time. I've had carpet cleaners come out and do them as well. 6 years and still holding up.
