HELP!!! DH's puppy hates my cat!
Blue's like the best cat ever, and he just stares at Brooklyn. 
Blue even tries to play with the puppy...he went over to him to sniff him and Brooklyn just started crying...LOUD.
He's terrified. 
I've never had a dog before (as an adult)...what do I do?
I want them to get along...they're brothers!!

Do I just let him scream when Blue comes near him?
Do I have to watch him all the time when around Blue.
I knew Blue would be awesome...I had no idea the puppy wouldn't want to play.

awwww brooklyn What a cute name!!!!
Its going to take time. Start by your husband holding the cat and you holding the pup and bringing them close so he can smell blue

give him some time sweetie. Blue has been around the house and you guys for a long time. everything is new to the puppy, he's probably scared and confused, poor guy. he'll be ok though! I promise

Jessica - I went in a room and held Brooklyn while Blue was in the same room. Whenever Brooklyn would see Blue he would yelp...so I started soothing him and talking to him and saying "good boy"...and then he calmed down. But if I moved or if he looked at Blue again, he would start crying...
It's not that Blue's used to the house...it's that the puppy is scared of him.
I have to give extra love to Blue too...he's sensitive.

It'll take some time...please please don't forget to reassure Blue that it's ok too. Someone is invading his home.
Brooklyn might be experiencing separation anxiety from siblings or just baby fear of something he doesn't know or recognize.
Took Bailey about 2 weeks to warm up to Bubba.
