Help??!? Does anyone have any experience with "pimples" on thier dogs nose? (long)
Gus (my 9 1/2 month yellow lab) has always had some little pimples on the top of his nose, and his vet told me not to worry about it, that it was just puppy acne-and they have kind of gone away and reappeared since I first got him...well Thursday night I came home and Gus had a little diarehea when I walked him, and his nose (the spot with the acne) was really red and looked irritated...so I put a little antibacterial ointment on it, and that was it...friday it seemed better, but not gone, then Saturday I took him to the park to play, and at some point he came over to me, and it looked like his pimples had popped (not bleeding, but a little spot of blood, like if you popped a pimple til it bleed)...so I brought him down by the beach, and threw the ball in the water so that the salt water would get to it....and I did the same thing sunday...and this morning it looks like the pimples have closed up, but the skin looks a little raw...His vets office has was closed yesterday and today--and I really don't have the cash to take him to the emergency vet...could this be anything serious? does anyone's elses pooch have this??? I'm sorry this is so long, I'm just worried....
thanks in advance ladies....

My black lab had the same thing on her chin... the vet gave us this solution that you mix with water and scrub onto her chin. It cleared it right up but every now and then it comes back. Her vet says it could be getting irritated from digging around in the dirt and stuff, but nothing to be worried about at all.
My dog's "pimples" did the same thing, kinda looked like it poped, then red and raw. I'm sure he'll be ok... just call the vet when he's in.. maybe he can give you the same kind of solution we got... I can't remember the name at the moment...

if they already pooped it wont work, but if they havent you can try mixing a solution of witch hazel and brown listerine. blot it on the area. continue this and it should clear up in no time.
