Help!! Dog peeing on my kids' outdoor toys

We just put up a swingset and brought a few toys (cozy coupe, roller coaster, small slide) outside for my girls since the weather is getting nicer.

While outside the other day I noticed the dog lifting his leg against each of the toys INCLUDING the slide attached to the swingset that my DD was in the process of sliding down.

I was so not happy.

Also, when he goes #2 he has to drop in like 4 different areas of the yard- it's a pain in the neck.

I also caught him trying to hump my 3 yr old daughter while outside the other day. He is fixed and RARELY ever humps anyone/thing. Last time I saw it happen was over a year ago.

Anyone have a solution for either of these problems?

BTW- He is 3 years old and still has other destructive behavior- but I fault my husband for them because he doesn't take the time to train/exercise the dog he so desperately wanted (we've had him since he was a few months old).

I'm at the end of my rope here.

ETA: I always had female dogs growing up so this whole "marking his territory" thing is new to me.

I am not sure if anyone can tell you if any of this can be trained to stop. It makes sense to me that this type of stuff will pose an issue when you have one yard, and both children and pets who use it.

If you dont want your dog to poop all over your yard, why not walk him? Take him on 3 daily walks at least and he may not poop or pee in your yard at all. Especially if he gets used to the walks. Only way you can cut down on that happening in your yard for sure. As for yard, I go with my dogs (or my DH) each and every time they pee and poop and pick up poops. They must be watched so it can be removed immediately otherwise it would be a hazard to leave (worms, parasites, etc). However, the amt of other random animals peeing and pooping in my yard is far more concerning than my dog's stool (that I treat with monthly deworming pills).

As for peeing on things, I have a male and he does that. I am not sure it's about marking the territory, just that males have an easier time going lifting a leg than squatting due to the way the urine comes out with force. Think of males standing to urinate, vs us females sitting. So as gross as it seems, I know my dog is disease free and urine is sterile so as gross as it is, it really shouldn't make anyone sick.

I just ordered a $$$$ CP swingset and I already told my DH you know our male is going to pee on it. But it's stained, and waterproof, and it's his only yard too. So I am prepared if he does it and will just wipe down if he uses the slide for ex to pee on. It's part of having dogs and kids in one yard unfortunately.

I agree with Goober, if you could walk your dog or you can teach your dog to poo in one area. (take a leash walk your dog to the area you want him to poo and keep doing it until he goes in the designated area and reward with treats).

Your dog is marking his territory and the humping is showing dominance to your DD.

I would wash the area where your dog pees with natures miracle so he doesnt smell the pee and keeps marking the territory. You could use noise aversion when he lifts up his leg to pee on the set (shake a can of coins)
