help, ds holding pee in at school?!?

my ds has been in underwear and doing amazing for a few months now. he doesn't have accidents at home and goes at other peoples houses and restaurant bathrooms etc.. he's 2 1/2.

he started school 2 weeks ago (only 2 times a week, 3 hours) and he has gone there but has also had an accident. mostly he holds his pee in. i've tired reward m&m's and disney car stickers but he won't go. he won't say why either.

the teacher wanted him in pull ups after his first and only accident on his 2nd day of school. they bring him frequently and are annoyed by this (teacher is a b1tch!)

what can i do? this stinks!

my nephew did this and he woudl say he didn't want anyone to see his privates

After a bout 6 weeks or so he got more comfortable and started peeing at school...

Maybe just give it some more time?

I think it is utterly ridiculous for a teacher to be annoyed that a 2.5 year old has an accident.

At my children's daycare, a non potty trained chlid is paired with 2 potty trained children & go to the bathroom on a regular basis.

They put underwear under the pull-ups to cause discomfort & have less clean-up.

We have this issue every year at school at the beginning of the year (& I teach 4's). We just constantly remind all the children; look for fidgeting and if a child has an accident, we change them & try NOT to make it a big deal at all....accidents happen. At times children are so engaged in playing or what they are doing, they don't realize they have to go/did go.

Also though, find out if at school they have the automatic flushers...one year 2 little girls were terrified of them. We had to walk them down to the nurses' office to go on the toilet w/ the regular flusher. Also is he in clothes he can easily get on/off? Maybe he's afraid to ask the teacher for help?

Is the bathroom a single bathroom? Is it a "regular" school bathroom w/ a number of stalls? Is he afraid of being locked in? Are the toilets too high? Is the bathroom dark? Are the faucets automatic? Go through things step by step either w/ him or the teacher or ask to see the bathrooms the next time you drop him off.

Yet for a teacher to get aggravated at a 2.5 year old child his 2nd day of school for an accident is ridiculous
