HELP!!! Fluids after vomiting
Kevin is having a reaction to the Chicken Pox vaccine and has vomited 2x this morning. The doctor said diluted juice but Kevin has never been a fan of it. What else can you give?
Is plain water ok?

Re: HELP!!! Fluids after vomiting
I'd rather you do pedialyte since it has minerals & vitamins in it. Any fluid is better than none though.

Re: HELP!!! Fluids after vomiting
I agree with Barbara Pedialyte and small amounts to start until you know that he can hold them down. Depending on his age, 1/2 or 1 ounce to start and then if he can keep that down for 20 minutes then offer the equal amount and repeat as long as necessary.
Hope Kevin feels better.

Re: HELP!!! Fluids after vomiting
He should have some kind of juice with electrolyts in them. My doctor recommended wither Pedialyte (which both my kids hated) or he actually told me to try Gatorade. I also gave them jello pops- I think they are make by pedialyte.. that they loved...
Hoped this helps and hope he feels better
