help for dry, dull, tired looking skin
So, lately I've noticed that my skin looks terrible.... dry, tired, dull, aged... I feel like just look really old and tired all of a sudden (or maybe I'm just looking more closely lol )
What is good for skin like that? I've never been good with skin care regimens and make up application. I'm trying to get better about drinking more water. I use (and have used for a long time) an African black soap to wash my face. I've been using Yes to Tomatoes moisturizer because I can get it at Target.
I'm 40 if that makes a difference...

Re: help for dry, dull, tired looking skin
IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream is the best moisturizer i have used. I keep trying to get away from it and switch to something else because it's expensive but every time I do, my skin starts looking worse again so I realize I have to skimp elsewhere.
When you use it, your skin immediately feels plumper. It's just all around great for dry skin
Also No 7 Lift and Luminate Serum is great as a serum to use under your moisturizer- day and night. After a few weeks I saw a difference You can get it at Target
Also make sure you are exfoliating. Either with a physical (scrub) or chemical (AHA or BHA) exfoliater to get rid of the dead skins cells.

I feel the same!! I just bought the No7 Lift and Luminate serum and was considering the day and night cream to go with it.
NervousNell, have you tried the No7 day cream at all?

I have not because I use the IT Cosmetics cream as my day cream. But I do like the serum and have heard great things about the whole line, so the day cream is worth a shot!

This has been a game changer for me.
Enzyme Exfoliator
I have rosacea and was always so scared to exfoliate but this is so gentle I use it twice a week. My skin looks and feels brand new!

It's a bit pricey but I've been using Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil and Sunday Riley Good Genes nearly every single night. After washing my face and then using toner (Pixi Glow Tonic or IT miracle worker), i apply Luna, let it sit for about 5 minutes while I get changed. Then I put Good Genes on (beware- it smells awful) followed by moisturizer (IT secret sauce or confidence in a cream). My skin has become much brighter, softer, and healthier looking.
I also moisturize and apply serum in the morning. I do face masks a couple of times a week. I wish I had taken care of my face back when i was younger like i do now!
