help! how to cook a spiral ham?

I bought one of those spiral hams in the gold foil from stop n shop, it has a glaze with it. Does anyone know how long I'd cook it for and what temp? Ive never made this before, only a virginia ham so im not sure it would get cooked the same way.

it should say on the package. They are already cooked.. .you are pretty much just heating it through and getting the glaze warm and melty. The last time I did it I think I put it in for an hour.

Re: help! how to cook a spiral ham?

Put the ham in a pan, with a little bit of water at the bottom. If you have a can of pineapple, chunk it and add: 4 whole cloves, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 tbsp of mustard, then mix together. Pour it all over the ham and don't add the water if you do this. Cook 20 minutes for each pound.

Towards the end, pour the glaze all over the ham and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

Take out and serve.

Yes, I know they are already cooked, the instructions I had last Sunday told me I could eat it as is, or cook it 20 min per pound. I'm glad you found the instructionsChat Icon
