Holy cow, $100!!! That's alot I guess I didn't want ot give anything since I pay tons to the church for the kids to go to their school, I spoke to my friend who works in the church office today and she said for the most part people give $25.

I gave $100 for both of my sons. My church "recommended" $25.

On another note: we had a Deacon perform both Baptisms (they were private) and we tipped him both times. Is this the norm? Chat Icon

Gave a $100 and that was a year and a half a go. My church told me how much they expected.Chat Icon

Yes, that's normal to tip. We were expected to tip the alter boys as well since it was a private ceremony. I think for private ceremonies you should give more.
