help! ice cream parlor in Port Jeff/Setauket?
I need to buy an ice cream cake for my dad's 70th birthday.
I am looking for a good ice cream parlor that isn't Carvel, baskin robbins, etc.
I live in Setauket, and my local home-made ice cream parlor closed down.
Does anyone know of one?

Is the Magic Sundae still open on 25A in Setauket? Their ice cream was delicious!

Ugh, I know this one too, but can't think of the name. It's right on the corner, across from the ferry, right? Can you call information and ask for ice cream places in PJ?
It's a little further, but McNulty's in Mount Sinai (on N. Country Road) sells ice cream cakes, haven't had them but their regular ice cream is delicious!

The brook house in Stony Brook probably has homemade ice cream cakes.

Haven't been here but I pass it all the time! I hear their ice cream is fantastic - I would probably try here first!

I don'tthink I've ever seen cakes there. I also don't think a lot of their ice cream is homemade.
