Help: I'm throwing DH a Surprise 30th B-Day party and....
there's a I don't like speaking and I don't know what to say.
I wish I could remember what he said at mine in February.
Can anyone help--what could I say?
...oh and we had a in April, if it helps--I don't know if that is of any importance.

Just speak from the heart. Thank him for the wonderful years, the beautiful baby...ect. I usually think the unprepared toasts are better, because they feel more real, and less rehearsed. Good luck!

I prefer the humor route. I would stand up, make an announcement about the toast, then say something like "Hey, you.... Happy Birthday"... then sit back down.

maybe write a few things down so you have some thoughts in your head and bring it w/u...u may shock yourself and the speach might just flow out of u'r mouth!! good luck and let us know how it goes!

For my DHs 30th I made him cry 
I told him that when we met 12 years ago I knew he was the kind of guy you don't let go of...he was a great guy and I knew he would be an amazing man. When we talked years ago of starting a family I knew he'd be nothing short of amazing to both me and the baby.
On his 30th birthday it was such an honor to tell him that he has exceeded my high expectation - and is in fact a great man...a great husband and and great father.
