Help! Is my grammar check right?
Heres the sentence - its written on a program I am writing for a therapist to run for a child - this is the question I want her to ask the student:
Even though we both see different things, are either of us right or wrong?
My grammar check is telling me it should be:
Even though we both see different things, is either of us right or wrong?
That doesn't sound right? Is it????

The grammar check is right. The subject is either, which is singular b/c it is referring to one person. Therefore, the verb to use is is.

It should be "is either of us right or wrong?"
I would also say "even though we EACH see different things; rather than both

Re: Help! Is my grammar check right?
Your grammar check is correct. Either is singular and therefor "is" is the correct word. You disregard the prepositional phrase "of us" - "either" is the subject. HTH
