Help! Kanka sore is KILLING me!
I've tried everything - salt warm water swishes, kanderaid (benzocaine), peroxide - anything else this thing is KILLING ME!!!

Try Tums - I know it sounds silly but someone suggested it to me - and it helped a bit.
Bite a tum and try and put in in the area where the sore is.
Also, continue with the salt water washes.
I've dealt with these - usually last anywhere up to two weeks

definitely keep it clean and dry. Try Zilactin-B it's a gel you can put on it that burns for a second, but then dries, numbs, and leaves a coating.

eat yogurt, buy lysine the vitamin and coldeeze all usually help with the canker sores. lessen then and help them heal.
also change your toothpaste to one that doesn't have sodium laural sulfate. mentadent i think makes a tooth paste for canker sore sufferers.
also my dentist prescribes a cream for me to put on them.

for instant relief, go to your dentist, they can use Debacterol and it kills it immediately. It hurts but in seconds the pain is gone and rest assurd the apthous ulcer will be gone in days. You will not feel anything during the healing process. Its amazing stuff. I have used it. Its not OTC only at the detal office, your md will not have it.

My gosh this sounds like a dream! These things linger for so long - good thing I don't get these apthous ulcers too often.
