help making over my bedroom
so this is what our bedroom looks like... we need a new duvet cover for the down comforter bc my darling puppy ava chewed so many holes, it can't be sewed anymore. she seems to be past it, but i don't want to spend too much money, just in case! dh loves the blue, but i want to go a different route... we've had the blue for almost 5 years and now we're doing our tv room blue and tan, so i'm looking for something different. the carpeting is beige and we're not looking to buy new furniture as of yet... i was thinking of doing cream colored walls and bedding that incorporated beige, cream and chocolate brown. what do you think? anyone that has that color scheme in their bedroom, can you post pictures so i can get some ideas for bedding. and some recs for paint colors please? eta - if you think the furniture will look nicer with just keeping the blue color scheme... pictures of new bedding that would go with our walls/carpet would be appreciated as well thanks

Re: help making over my bedroom
I would check out IKEA for inexpensive duvet covers. Also check out Target or JCPenny when they are having sales.
I actually like your color scheme. Similar to mine. I think if you did cream on the walls you wouldn't notice your furniture as much. We have blue walls, with dark cherry furniture. I do lighter duvet in the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter with dark duvet. I add burnt orange and brown in the Fall/Winter. It looks great with the blue and cream. Check out my pics in my Master Bedroom Album.

Re: help making over my bedroom
the furniture is one of my guest bdrms is knotty pine (similar in color to your furniture). walls are painted BM lenox tan. i used to have red bedding (pic below) but recently updated the room and changed the color scheme to light green, pale blue, ivory and tan.
the paint color works well with both bedding colors. pics aren't the greatest and the aren't the most recent of the new color scheme but look at the BM color chart to get a true feel for the color of enox tan. if too dark, you could always opt for shaker beige which is one shade lighter than lenox tan.

Re: help making over my bedroom
jlddolphin... your bedroom is beautiful, i love both comforter sets! maybe i just need the change in comforter and maybe curtains and that will be enough... i guess my question was, if you were going to do a similar color scheme in your den, where you spend a good amount of time, would you want to change in up a bit in your bedroom? skew, your bedroom is beautiful as well... i was looking for more creamy and less beigy though. thank u both

Thanks Krista!
I guess my answer would be yes, but I think if you change the bedding and curtains, that will give you a different feel for your bedroom. You can always use a different color blue on the walls in your Den. or for the Den, you could do a beige or tan on the walls and your decor could be in blue. Just a thought. You still get a similar feel for both of the rooms, but they aren't extactly the same. Hope that helps. Take a look at this album of mine. Maybe you will find something to inspire you. Also check out DecorPad.com, you can search by paint color. Great site. GL!
