Help me choose our new apartment in between this two options
Please help me decide this.. We (me, FH and our dog) live in Florida and our lease in our apartment complex is about to end and we are looking for a new apartment complex because the managment where we live is not keeping up as they should and never come to fix what they have to and we can hear our neighboors from upstairs as if they where in out aptm. Currently we live in a 2 bedrrom 1 bath. (1100 sq ft) and Ok Pool area and an old gym.Storage is very important for us and currently we have walking closet in both rooms plus linen closet, coat closet and small outside storage... Now our two other options are very different but we are trying to stay in the same price range as we are paying now. Option one is a semi detach small town house 2 bedrooms 1 1/2 baths wih a good size patio (it will fit a 4 chair table and 2 lounge chairs) over looking a lake (1200 sq ft). IT have washer and drayer combo (they are kind of small) and the bedrooms dont have walking closet. Also this apartment have old appliances (8-10 yrs old) We will need to rent a storage unit in the complex to be able to makeup for the lack of space in the closet. It also have a pool area and an OK gym Option number is a 1 bedroom 1 bath (almost 900 sq ft) apartment in a luxury complex. Huge kitchen with granite countertop. Full washer and dryer. 2 walkin closet in the bdr. it only have an enclosed lanai in which we can't BBQ. The complex is absolutely beautiful, great gym area, spa style pool, a dog park in which our dog can play with out a leash etc.. Sorry for the lenght but I want to give the best description of good and bad

Re: Help me choose our new apartment in between this two options
This is a tuff decision.......I think downsizing to 1 bedroom and 200sq ft less will be hard, but storage is an issue as well as the dog. I think the main thing to consider is this.....How often do you use the gym, pool, and ammenities in the complex? Do you cook a lot? Do you have guests often? Are you considering children in the near future? Is there any other complexes to consider? Where abouts in FL are you? If working out, the pool, dog park, and kitchen are all things you would use on a day to day basis I say go small, but if you rarely use the "extras" and you have lots of guests and laundry I say do the 2bedroom.

we live in central florida so during the months of nov to january we rearly go to the pool because it get chilly from time to time.. We are not planning to have kids any time soon but when family come to visit they have to stay with us as the closer family live 3+ hrs away. we cooked 5 to 6 days a week, FH is the one that usually used the gym the most because by the time he come home he prefer not to leave the property. The dog park is something nice to have but I guess is not much of a need more as a nice amenity to have

if you live in FL, I am sure there are other options for rentals. I would keep looking.
the 2nd newer complex sounds nice, but you're giving up a whole bedroom. something to consider if you've gotten used to having more than 1.

What do you use that 2nd bedroom for now? If you use it everyday I think you will really miss it .
