Help me figure out this company
in suffolk
over a billion in revenue
it would be developing products and selling them in stores
publicaly traded
excellent benefits
I can usually figure out the company in the first 2 minutes of a recruiter calling me- but I am stumped this time
I thought it was Bed bath, but they are not publically traded nor do they have excellent benefits- from what I have been told

Re: Help me figure out this company
My first thought was Estee Lauder.
My next is Hein, its an orgainc food comapny in Melville that makes Celestial Teas, and a whole slew of other chip type foods. My sister did an audit for them.

Might be, but I'm not 100% sure.

Re: Help me figure out this company
Did you ask the recruiter
Usually, one of my first questions to the recruiter is "what company is this for"? Once they've made contact with you..they will usually tell you.

That is BS! I never understood what the big deal was with sharing the name of a company (either from a recruiter or online job sites). good luck!

Re: Help me figure out this company
I guess she doesn't want me to go around her
I will go on the interview- but my plans are so up in the air
I could be moving to FL in 3 months or 12 months- it's all depending on when they settle my DH lawsuit- I plan on taking the money- and running

Re: Help me figure out this company
BBB is publicly traded under BBBY. There benefits are not excellant nor is the culture in my opinion but that is on the buying side. The product development and sourcing side is so so from what I saw. They do travel alot. But to answer your question, it sounds like BBB to me.

rats- I thought they were private
I don't want to work there at all
but it does make sense
I heard they don't even have a 401K
but some of the benefits I was told were
child care money
401K
profit sharing

The recruiter could be following the company's request to not disclose the information to the general public as there may be a person in the role who is going to be let go when they find a replacement. It's either that or they don't want the applicant applying directly or through another recruiter who they already have a rapport with. It sounds like they are protecting how they make their money.

Well BBB is one option. It sounds a lot like Nature's Bounty as well. They own Vitamin World which is over $50M in sales right there.

that would make sense- she said they sell products and have there own stores
and she wasn't super focused on the fact I worked for Macy's - in a similar role to what the BBB job would be
let's see if she even calls now

Re: Help me figure out this company
sounds like either B,B&B or Estee Lauder. Estee Lauder has a few of their own stores (usually at outlets) called "the company store".
