help me pick a new answering machine
Well, my really, really old answering machine/phone is now broken and I'm dreading going shopping for a new one. I am so not a techie person lol
So, who wants to tell me the name of a company that I can trust. I need it to have a memo feature, speakerphone, and it has to read how many message I have (old and new). Like I said I am totally helpless in picking out anything electronic lol

Gosh, I just realized I haven't had an answering machine in about 6 years. 
Does your current phone service offer voice mail? It's really so much easier.

same here - we have VM with Optimum Voice.

No. I don't even have caller id. I am looking online and all the ones I see are for caller id ugg

We have one on our phone and therefore donated an at&t one that was great. 
Honestly, I hate voice mail. It takes too long to get into it, you have to wait for the stupid voice to say its shpeel (sp) and in all honesty, without a blinking light, we never checked it. Answering machine...another electronic, but we actually check our messages with it and it's one touch to erase. Voice mail stinks for us.
