Help me please share your shopping tips.
Sorry if this sounds dumb. I am a new mom and have no idea how to go shopping w/ dd. Do I push the stroller and a cart? No idea how I can manage that. Put the car seat in the big part of the cart? Then I feel like there is no room for anything else. Prop the carseat over the sitting area? Doesnt seem safe to me. DD was a preemie so we have not been out really yet, and I need to get out or I am going to lose my mind. How do you ladies shop at places like BJ's w/ your infants? Please share your tips!

Itss not dumb I asked the same question! If I am with DH I put DS in the car seat on the cart,ONLY if he is there to hold on the whole time. Other than that I dont go food shopping! Clothes shopping i just put DS in the stroller and hook things onto the stroller or put it underneath. Its complicated but you will get the hang of it!

If DH is w/ me one pushes stroller, one pushes cart. Clothes shopping I am fine. We do the farmers market no prob too. I am just worried about places like BJ's and Target. I dont go food shopping Lol. Have done pea pod since she came home from the NICU. I dont know why I feel like the super market is too germie.

My DD is almost four months and I can't go grocery shopping with her alone. Instead, my mom comes and pushes the stroller while I use the cart.

I went grocery shopping with DD alone for the first time two weeks ago! I put her in the carseat in the big part of the cart and it took up the whole thing! I couldn't get what I really needed. Usually Dh and I go together and I push the stroller and he pushes the cart or I'll put her on the top part and stay right there holding it while Dh gets the groceries.
DD is pretty good at sitting up now, so I think I'll try the cart cover next time. because it's just geting to be too much waiting for Dh to go shopping.

I have no choice but to go alone...so I do just put him in the carseat on the top part... where they sit when they are older. MOST places have it fit well enough that it actually locks onto the back. If it doesn't then I hold onto it the whole time, but I still postiion it so there's no way it can fall. Now that he's older, I'm finally going to be able to stop using the carseat part

When I had to go I'd use the stroller and a cart. I'd leave the cart at the end of the aisle and walk up and down the aisle with the stroller. I'd add what I got in each aisle into the cart when we got back to the end. This way I only had to move the cart a few feet at a time.
Yes I probably got in people's way but I did what I had to do. I always shopped when the stores weren't busy.
