Help me: what do you call this type of pant?
Help: I am trying to sell something on eBay but I don't know what to call it!
It;s essentually a pair of knee-length shorts, but they are made to look like dress pants. So, imagine a pair of black dress pants that have been shopped off at the knee. You could pair them with heels, and a nice top and they will look totally office ready.
What are those called?

I call them gauchos if we are talking the loose kind of pants.

And I looooooooove them. I got a pair from ON this summer because my old pairs were being worn out.  
If we're talking the more fitted style, I just call them "business capris".
Both came up as I expected in google searches. HTH!
ETA: I've also heard the loose one's being called capri "palazzo" pants.

I believe Cigarette pants are the ones that are fitted and narrow down towards the ankle, and are also ankle length.

Looser ones are Gauchos, Culottes or Palazzo Pants
skinnier ones are pedal pushers, cigarette pants, capris etc

Yeah, they usually go all the way to the ankle. You can try capri cigarette pants!
