HELP my dog is eating the lights off my pre-lit tree!!
My 1 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier has been eating the lights off my artificial tree!! He destroyed the entire bottom row of lights; i bought "Bitter Yuck" from the pet store but that hasn't stopped him; i sprayed it all over and I was the one suffering! Spray got all in the air and could taste it in my mouth! Don't want to take the tree down; don't want to have to get a doggie gate just for the tree...any other suggestions??
Thanks!!

I would be more concerned about what the sharp edges of the lights would do to him! Watch his poop for blood, he may need medical attention.
The best suggestion I have to keep your dog safe is the baby gate. I have one for my doorway that I got at Petco, it wasn't crazy expensive.

I know that too :) I found a bunch of plastic from the bulbs; have been checking his poop & making sure his eating habits haven't changed. Don't want him eating at the tree period. I'm looking at petco now for the gates.

The lights contain lead and of course as you know, glass. Very dangerous~
You need to buy a baby gate and gate around the tree. Or find a way to keep him out of that room. Bottom line.
BabiesRus or toysrus \or petco may sell a a good gate. Superyard XT is a great way to block off your tree.
